Target: Enter at Your Own Risk

The beginning of the month
is always a suuuuuper fun time in the Dunn household.
That's because this chick gets paid
on the last work day of the month.
And there's always a few days after I get paid
right before all our bills are due
(because for some whacko reason,
we've got to pay those monthly as well)
where we feel rich!
Feel being the operative word.

And what does one do when they feel rich?
They go to Target, of course.
Ah, Target, the most beloved hated place on Earth.

I usually try to run in and run out speedy quick
because it is way too easy to get sucked into the greatness that is Target.
However, Friday I gave into temptation.
My intentions were innocent enough.

I needed eyeliner.

But for some reason, I found myself looking at nail polish instead
and then clothes
and then Halloween decorations
and then dog costumes
and then baby stuff (I rest my case on the dangers of Target)
and the next thing I knew,
45 minutes had passed,
I had no eyeliner
and my Christmas wish-list had quadrupled in size.

The moral of the story:
Beware of the red neon sign.
I'm convinced it's a target for a reason.
You get sucked in and BAM,
your poor wallet pays the price. Literally.

Hugs,
