The Weekend That Was (Two Weeks Ago)

Remember that ah-mazing, blogworthy weekend I never got around to blogging about
thanks to a little, um, incident at school?

Well, I'm ready to throw back and blog about it.
I mean, I took pictures.
I can't let this opportunity slip by me.
Even if it is late.

Last Friday, Robbie picked me up from school
and we made our way to Raleigh for NCSU Parent's Weekend.

For years, Parent's Weekend has really just been an excuse
for me and Carter to spend the weekend together on mom's dime
#moochersforlife
It was fun this year, especially with Carter being the host.

We stayed at the Hyatt Place in Raleigh,
which isn't a five star resort
but definitely was a very, very nice hotel.

With really cool keys.

Robbie left at the butt crack of dawn for the ECU vs. UNC game in Chapel Hill
so I got some extra comfy snuggles in before we started tailgating for the State game.

And then, just like that I became "that" girl.
The way-too-old-to-be-in-the-student-lot,
but still-hanging-on-strong-girl.

And you know what, I don't even hate it.
Carter's roommates are the funnest.
And we didn't stay in the student lot the whole day.

Because eventually we made our way to mom's tailgate,
which also happened to be part of her 50th Birthday Celebration.

Oh, and this may or may not have happened.

Happy Birthday mama!

These still count as weekend shenanigans,
even if they happened two weekends ago.

Hugs,

  1. Haha - this sounds like so much fun. Sometimes I really wish that I had gone to a public university instead of my small private school. I have never been tailgating *gasp . . . . I know* and I think it would be a lot of fun.
