Monday Made It

I've seen these posts for several weeks now 

(apparently all the blogs I follow are very crafty)

and I'm excited that I finally have something to add to my very first Monday Made It.

You may remember this fun little post I did a few weeks ago.

One thing I wanted to accomplish was refinishing a piece of furniture (see number 15).

Well, folks, consider it done.

I had been looking for a fun piece of furniture for my foyer...something to fill the space and add a pop of color.

So Robbie and I searched through the storage unit and found this beauty.

It just screamed potential.

I found a power sander (my new favorite power tool btw)

Some primer

Some bright green paint

and wah-la.

My brand new accent chair. 

I'm still on the lookout for a fun (maybe animal-print) pillow to toss in for extra pizazz

but, even Willow agrees, it will do for now.

And because I think this link-up is technically supposed to be school related

and it is August after all....

Googly-eyed reading sticks.

Because everyone loves googly eyes

and because sometimes you need a little help tracking while you read.
