TLC - I am in LOVE

I have always been a fan of TLC.

Remember the Trading Spaces days?
It came on everyday at 4:00
and was how I spent my afternoons in middle school.
(No...I didn't have many friends, it's okay.
I did have my favorite designers, don't you worry.)

I remember cringing through A Baby Story
and one time, I even cried.
Blegh.

I have the entire series of Jon & Kate Plus 8 on DVD.
They used to be my idols,
before Kate's hair extensions made her a complete biotch
and Jon became obsessed with Ed Hardy (ew.)

Don't worry Aaden - I'm still in love with you!
You, my sweet, glasses-wearing, animal loving boy can do no wrong.

But honestly, TLC has just gotten better and better more and more addicting over the years.
I can't necessarily say that the shows on TLC are quality TV
but really, this day in age, what is quality TV?

I'm sure it looks a little something like conjoined twins
graduating from college,
pursuing a career in elementary education.
(girls after my own heart.)

Or maybe five Amish teenagers
voyaging out into the scary, thrilling world of NYC!

Or maybe even another abnormally large family of 19.
No, Duggars, you are not alone.
I mean, they wouldn't even all fit in my screen.

Or possibly, people literally buried in piles of "valuable items"
aka junk.

Don't even act like you don't secretly think of people you know
that would be perfect candidates for this show.
Or get the irresistible urge to clean your house compulsively.

I won't even get started on all the wedding fabulousness that is TLC.

And let's be real, I soooo would have won Four Weddings.

Little people conquering the world and falling in love,
extreme cheerleading moms fighting for a spot on the elite team,
Jersey cake bakers,
balding polygamist husbands,
the list goes on and on.

But of course, no TLC blog post would be complete without an honorable mention to this lovely lady.

Toddlers and Tiaras was already pushing it for me
but Honey Boo Boo has completely pushed me over the edge.
I literally cannot watch this show without my jaw sitting on the floor.

I refuse to believe people can be like this in real life.
Every time I watch this show,
(which is like never, duh)
I"m convinced a hidden camera is going to pop out and say
"Gotcha!! It was all a joke!"

Please tell me it's all a joke.

Either way, TLC you've found yet another way to strike reality TV gold.
My couch thanks you immensely for the extreme amount of QT we've had together lately.
However, the gym and my husband are feeling a little neglected.
Eh, you win some, you lose some!

Hugs,

P.S. Don't forget to enter my giveaway before Friday!!
